Cudo's to the Memorial Foundation for constructing the 173rd Airborne Brigade Memorial at Ft. Benning, GA. This Memorial has and will mean a lot to all of the families that have lost someone, to all of the Skysoldiers who saw their friends die for us and the US.

The 173d Airborne Brigade Association leadership saw the importance of seperating the Foundation from its body so that they could go unimpeded in the construction of their Memorial. It's generousity of donating $25,000 to the Men who started this Memorial Foundation to give them some start up funds was a God-send.

How many Memorials does the Association have to have? A serious question with no definitive answer. The Association had built up a fund over the past 14 years; but could never reach their goal to construct a Memorial at Ft. Bragg, NC. Along came Big and Rich who donated the proceeds of their concert to the Memorial Foundation, God Bless them for that. That got them rolling along and now they are having their dedication on June 1, 2010 of their Memorial Project. All of their hard work in putting this together is soon going to be done.

The Association not only has met its obligation to the Memorial Foundation; it has exceeded it. The Association donated an additional $25,000 to the Memorial Foundation as per its agreement with the members of the Foundation. Every member of the Association should take heart that their donations over the years is helping to see this project completion. Our hats go off to the Memorial Board for having the vision to construct the Memorial. Thanks to the 173d Airborne Brigade Association, it is finally come to pass.
